Dr. Gaurav Dixit is Head of Haematology Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant (Unit II) at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram. He completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from PGIMS Rohtak in 2008, and after senior residency in General Medicine joined the Department of Clinical Haematology at AIIMS, New Delhi in 2011 — where he developed a deep interest in the study and treatment of blood disorders.
In 2012 he joined CMC Vellore — one of India's premier haematology departments — for his DM degree, working for three years in this busy transplant centre before completing in 2015. He has subsequently spent four years each at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh and at Action Cancer Hospital, where he was instrumental in setting up bone marrow transplant programmes from the ground up.
In 2020 he was awarded the Professional Certificate in Multiple Myeloma by the Mayo Clinic, USA. His special interests are leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma, and aplastic anaemia. Dr. Dixit performed the first bone marrow transplant in Kenya in October 2022, successfully — a landmark contribution to East African haematology.
