What is Brain Tumor Surgery?
Brain tumor surgery in India may involve open craniotomy, minimally invasive or endoscopic approaches depending on tumour location, size, pathology and surgical goals. Treatment planning typically includes imaging, neurosurgical evaluation, anaesthesia, surgery, hospital care and postoperative monitoring. After anaesthesia and positioning, a planned craniotomy or keyhole corridor exposes the lesion. The tumour is removed or debulked under magnification, often with neuronavigation. Tissue goes to pathology; the bone flap is replaced and the patient recovers in a neuro-ICU or high-dependency bay.
