Dr. S. Mohan Das

Dr. S. Mohan Das is one of India's most experienced neurologists, with a career spanning more than four decades of clinical practice, academic medicine, and research. Based at KIMS Hospitals in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, he serves as Chief Consultant Neurologist and is widely respected for his deep expertise in conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and complex movement disorders. Dr. Mohan Das completed his MBBS at King George's Medical College, Lucknow, followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from Safdarjang Hospital, Delhi University. He then earned his DM in Neurology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi — one of the country's most rigorous postgraduate programmes in the field. This foundation gave him a broad and evidence-based grounding that has shaped his practice ever since. He has also served as an Examiner for DM Neurology and MCh Neurosurgery, reflecting the regard his peers hold for his academic depth.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Mohan Das held senior academic and leadership roles at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, including Professor and Head of the Department of Neurology and Dean of Faculty. He has contributed to research programmes led by ICMR and the WHO, and has participated in international multicentric clinical trials in diabetic neuropathy — bringing a research-informed perspective to every patient he sees.
