Dr. (Brig) Anil Kumar Dhar — Clinical Director & Head – Medical Oncology in Delhi NCR

Dr. (Brig) Anil Kumar Dhar is Clinical Director and Head of Medical Oncology at Marengo Asia Hospitals in Gurugram, Delhi NCR, with more than 35 years of experience. His profile carries five specializations: medical oncology, solid tumor oncology, pediatric oncology, preventive oncology and cancer education, and symptom palliation with clinical cytogenetics.

Chemotherapy appears in four forms, adjuvant, neoadjuvant, palliative and per cycle, which follows a patient from surgery through to advanced disease. His career was made in the Armed Forces Medical Services. He served at Army Hospital in Delhi Cantt and at Command Hospital in Pune and in Kolkata, and developed the DNB medical oncology program at Army Hospital. Later posts were at Artemis Health Institute and Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurugram, TMH Jamshedpur, Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital in Jaipur and Nayati Hospital in Mathura.

The President of India awarded him the Vishisht Seva Medal for distinguished service. He holds a lifetime achievement award from the Indian Oncology Society and a certificate of recognition from the Prime Minister, and his record notes more than 35,000 patients treated.
