Dr. Aru Chhabra Handa — Director in Delhi NCR

Dr. Aru Chhabra Handa is a Director at Medanta – The Medicity in Delhi NCR, with more than 35 years of experience in ENT.

Her procedure list is set out with the indication attached to each operation. Functional endoscopic sinus surgery covers chronic rhinosinusitis with polyps and fungal sinusitis. Stapedectomy is for otosclerosis and hearing reconstruction. Advanced mastoid surgery is for chronic middle ear disease, and advanced middle ear surgery is microscopic ear surgery for hearing reconstruction. Endoscopic nasal surgery includes CSF leak repair, and septoplasty extends to functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty.

A second group is glandular. Salivary gland surgery includes sialendoscopy for salivary duct stones, and is recorded alongside salivary gland tumour removal and glandular head and neck surgery. Her qualifications are M.B.B.S. from Amritsar Medical College and M.S. and D.N.B. in oto-rhino-laryngology, with postgraduate training at PGIMER in Chandigarh. She was formerly assistant professor at AIIMS in New Delhi, and has worked at PGI in Chandigarh, Safdarjung Hospital, Moolchand Hospital and Holy Family Hospital.

She took the I.S. Gupta Gold Medal for the best paper at the All India Rhinology Conference at LHMC in 2008 and a President's Appreciation Award from the IMA South Delhi branch in 2020. Her record notes more than 40 publications and book chapters.
