What is STER (Submucosal Tunneling Endoscopic Resection)?
STER removes a selected submucosal tumour through an endoscopic tunnel, aiming to extract the lesion while preserving the gut lining when size and location allow. A tunnel is created, the lesion is dissected from the muscularis and extracted, then the entry is closed.
