Dr. Sumit Singh is one of India's most respected neurologists, currently serving as Chief of Neurology at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. With over 36 years of clinical experience, he has built a reputation for managing some of the most complex neurological conditions — from Parkinson's disease and movement disorders to drug-resistant epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Singh's academic journey set the tone for a career defined by excellence. He completed his MBBS at M.G.M. Medical College, Jamshedpur, followed by his MD in Medicine at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. He then earned his DM in Neurology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi — one of India's most competitive and prestigious institutions — after topping the entrance examination at the 99.5th percentile. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Parkinson's disease with specialized training in stereotactic neuromodulation, giving him a rare combination of academic rigor and hands-on procedural expertise.

Throughout his career, Dr. Singh has been a quiet pioneer. In 2001, he introduced the concept of Botulinum toxin therapy for headache management in India. A year later, in 2002, he established the country's first Headache Clinic in the government sector in Delhi. He also founded India's first comprehensive Movement Disorder program, which has since helped thousands of patients with conditions like Parkinson's disease, dystonia, tremors, and spasticity receive structured, long-term care. Before joining Artemis Hospital in 2009, he served as Additional Director of Neurology at Medanta – The Medicity, one of India's leading tertiary care institutions.
