Dr. Renu Raina Sehgal — Chairperson in Delhi NCR

Dr. Renu Raina Sehgal is Chairperson of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon, in the Delhi NCR, with more than 27 years of experience across obstetrics and gynaecology and infertility and IVF.

Endometriosis surgery runs through her operating list, performed both laparoscopically and robotically. She also carries out laparoscopic fertility surgery and ovarian cyst surgery, manages abnormal uterine bleeding and ovarian cysts, and on the obstetric side provides advanced obstetric surgical care and planned cesarean section.

She qualified MBBS at Baba Raghav Dass Talpan Medical College in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and took her MD in obstetrics and gynaecology through the post-graduate programme at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. She also holds a DNB from the National Board of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, the FMAS of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, and the FNAMS. Her minimal access training was a fellowship in advanced gynaecological laparoscopy at Carlton in Kerala, and she is a certified robotic console surgeon on the da Vinci robotic surgical system.

Her public recognition is broad. She has received the Financial Express Visionary Leadership Award in Healthcare, the CNRS Super Women Award from NDTV, the Priyadarshini Award for contribution to society, and an International Women's Day Partnership Achievement Award from the Carlton Foundation. Further awards include the Brand Icon of the Year Award, an Outstanding Achievement Award in the field of medicine from the Enlightened Foundation, a Special Appreciation Award from Max Healthcare, and the Distinguished Services Award of the Delhi Medical Association.
