Dr. Praveer Agarwal

Dr. Praveer Agarwal, Chairman — Interventional Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, is a nationally renowned cardiologist who has contributed extensively to the growth, development and training of interventional cardiology in India. He is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive treatment with an aim to serve the community at large. He has been serving at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi for 30 years.

He has been trained abroad with Dr. Jeffrey Cope at Royal Perth Hospital, Australia and with Prof. Alain Cribier at Rouen, France. He is regularly engaged in webinars as faculty and is well recognised for his teaching skills, conducting a programme called Basics and Beyond, engaging younger cardiologists and collectively discussing cases on a web-based platform.

He is one of the most skillful interventional cardiologists, capable of performing complex interventions using all the latest techniques (Rotational Atherectomy, IVL, FFR, OCT, IVUS) — averaging about 2,500 angiographies and 1,200 interventions every year.
