Dr. Pradeep Kumar Bansal — Senior Director in Delhi NCR

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Bansal is Senior Director of Urology, Uro-oncology, Robotics and Renal Transplant at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Delhi NCR, with more than 22 years of experience in urology.

His list runs from transplantation through endourology to reconstruction. He performs kidney transplant surgery from living and deceased donors. His stone work covers kidney stone surgery, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, retrograde intrarenal surgery and ureteroscopy. His prostate work covers laser prostate surgery and transurethral resection of prostate, and his reconstructive work urethral stricture surgery, urethroplasty and pediatric urological reconstruction.

He read MBBS and took his MS in general surgery at King George's Medical College in Lucknow, then his MCh in urology at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in the same city.

His undergraduate record at the University of Lucknow is a long run of distinctions. He took a certificate of honor in biochemistry and honors in physiology, pathology, microbiology, social and preventive medicine, pharmacology, forensic medicine, medicine and pediatrics, and ophthalmology, together with a silver medal and certificate of honor in the S.S. Khan dissection competition at KGMC.

His conference record centres on a single meeting. At the North Zone Urological Society of India conference at Udaipur in October 2001 he took the best paper award for a critical appraisal of techniques in substitution urethroplasty for anterior urethral strictures, and both first and second prize in the urology quiz for trainees. He participated again at Udaipur in October 2002.

He now practises at Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon, and has previously worked at Artemis Hospital and Max Hospital.
