Prof. Dr. Nashwa Bahaa El Din

Prof. Dr. Nashwa Bahaa El Din is a Consultant Pediatrician with over 35 years of distinguished clinical and academic experience spanning Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. She holds the position of Professor of Pediatrics at Cairo University and has led pediatric services in Abu Dhabi's private healthcare sector since 2006. Her expertise encompasses general pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, growth disorders, and pediatric infectious diseases.

Professor Nashwa earned her MBBCh from Cairo University in 1989 and completed her Master's Degree in Pediatrics in 1995 at the same institution. She obtained her Doctorate in Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine from Ain Shams University in 2005 and pursued advanced subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology and Growth at Cairo University. She completed advanced clinical training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Texas, USA, broadening her international expertise.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Professor Nashwa served as supervising pediatric physician for pediatric COVID-19 cases in Abu Dhabi's private healthcare sector. She led clinical research that resulted in the publication of "Clinical and Laboratory Features of PCR-Confirmed and Clinically Suspected COVID-19 Pediatric Patients: A Single Hospital-Based Experience During the First COVID-19 Wave in the United Arab Emirates" in Frontiers in Pediatrics, contributing evidence-based insights to global understanding of the disease in children.
