Dr. Mona Marwan

Dr. Mona Marwan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, with over 16 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology and refractive surgery. She holds a Master's degree in Ophthalmology from Benha University and completed specialized training in phacoemulsification at the Laxmi Institute in Panvel, India, and Dar Eloyoun Hospital in Egypt. Her career began at Tanta Ophthalmology Hospital in Egypt, where she progressed to specialist roles in refractive surgery.

Dr. Marwan completed a Fellowship in refractive surgery at Roayah Vision Correction Center for Refractive Surgery in Cairo, where she later served as Medical Director and specialist surgeon. She holds additional certification in Botox and injectable fillers for facial medical aesthetics. Since relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2017, she has maintained her focus on advanced refractive and oculoplastic procedures.

Dr. Marwan is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology and the Arab Board of Ophthalmology (since 2018), and holds membership in the Egyptian Medical Association and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She presented at the 2012 World Ophthalmology Congress in Abu Dhabi and contributed a chapter on refractive surgery and oculoplasty to Springer's Oculoplastic Surgery textbook (2020). She is fluent in English and Arabic.
