Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq

Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq is a Specialist in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus practicing at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi. He brings over 20 years of clinical, surgical, and academic experience to the management of complex pediatric eye conditions. His expertise spans pediatric cataract, strabismus correction, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), myopia management, and complex pediatric anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Abdul Razzaq holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons from Glasgow (F.R.C.S), the Iraqi Board Fellowship in Ophthalmology (FIBMS), and a Diploma from ESASO, Switzerland. He has been recognized internationally as a speaker with multiple peer-reviewed publications contributing to the field of pediatric ophthalmology.

Throughout his career, he has led landmark national initiatives, including founding Iraq's first retinopathy of prematurity screening and treatment program in 2014 and establishing the country's first dedicated retinoblastoma treatment program in 2018. He previously served as Head of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Ibn Al-Haitham Teaching Eye Hospital, Baghdad, and has trained ophthalmology residents and fellows across the region as a Board examiner and supervisor.
