Dr. Merin Eapen

Dr. Merin Eapen is a Specialist Pediatric Neurologist at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, bringing more than 8 years of clinical experience in general pediatrics and pediatric neurology. She completed her undergraduate medical training at Calicut University, India, followed by a residency in pediatrics and a Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Pediatric Neurology from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, India.

Dr. Eapen's clinical expertise encompasses the evaluation and management of epilepsy in children, including self-limited, genetic, and refractory epilepsies. She performs diagnostic interpretation of electroencephalography (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and electromyography (EMG), and administers Botulinum toxin therapy. She conducts developmental assessments for infants and children to identify developmental delays early, with particular focus on autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Eapen collaborates with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, clinical psychologists, and rehabilitation specialists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. She has experience in behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive assessment for intellectually disabled children, and scholastic performance evaluation. Throughout her career in India, she held faculty positions in pediatric neurology, taught medical residents, and presented research at national and international conferences.
