Dr. Hussein Nasser Matlik

Dr. Hussein Nasser Matlik is a Consultant in Pediatric Neurology with more than three decades of clinical experience across Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. He earned his MBChB from Mosul University in Iraq in 1981, followed by formal training in child health and pediatric neurology through the Arab Board of Pediatrics and the Royal College of Pediatric and Child Health in the United Kingdom, where he was elected in 2003 and became a Fellow in 2015.

Dr. Matlik's career began in Iraq, where he completed his residency and internship before joining the Maternity and Children's Hospital as a Pediatric Specialist in 1994 and serving as a Lecturer at Baghdad University's Kindy Medical College. He relocated to the United Arab Emirates in 2000, initially working as a Pediatric Specialist before transitioning to consultant-level pediatric neurology in 2007.

His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of pediatric neurological conditions, including epilepsy management, headache and migraine disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, and speech delay, as well as congenital neurological disorders including hydrocephalus and craniosynostosis. Dr. Matlik is fluent in English and Arabic and holds current PALS certification.
