What is Leadless Pacemaker Implantation?
A leadless pacemaker is a self-contained pacing capsule delivered through a large femoral vein and fixed in the right ventricle, avoiding a chest pocket and transvenous leads. A delivery catheter advances the capsule from the femoral vein into the right ventricle. After fixation and electrical testing, the device is released. A large-bore venous closure plan is required.
