Dr. Vaibhav Mishra

Dr. Vaibhav Mishra is one of India's leading cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, serving as Senior Director — Cardiac Surgery (CTVS) at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj, New Delhi. With over two decades of clinical experience, he specialises in total arterial bypass, minimally invasive valve surgeries, TAVR, EVAR, adult congenital cardiac conditions, and ECMO support.

Dr. Mishra's training spans three continents. He completed advanced fellowship training in adult cardiothoracic surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne Private Hospital, University of Melbourne (2013–2015), bringing world-class Australian cardiac surgery techniques to his practice in India. He also served as Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Cardiac Surgery at Otago University, Wellington, New Zealand (2011–2013), and as Senior Fellow in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery at Wellington Regional Hospital, Capital & Coast District Health Board, New Zealand (2010–2013).

Prior to joining Max, he served as Director & Head of CTVS at Fortis Hospital, Noida (2015–2021), where he built one of the most active cardiothoracic surgery programmes in the Delhi-NCR region. He has performed thousands of complex open-heart surgeries, including high-risk redo procedures, aortic root replacements (Bentall procedure), VATS thoracic surgeries, and peripheral bypass operations.
