Dr. Suman Lal

Dr. Suman Lal is one of India's most experienced and decorated obstetricians and gynaecologists, with over 31 years of extensive clinical practice. She serves as Senior Director & Unit Head — Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Robotic Surgery and Gynaecologic Laparoscopy at Max Hospital, Gurgaon.

A gold medallist in both MBBS and throughout her academic career, Dr. Lal completed her MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi — one of the most competitive postgraduate programmes in the country. She further extended her training with a Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery from Germany, and a Diploma in Assisted Reproduction Technique & IVF, making her one of the few specialists in India with genuine expertise spanning high-risk obstetrics, advanced minimally invasive surgery, robotic gynaecology, and reproductive medicine.

Her clinical expertise covers the full breadth of women's healthcare: low- and high-risk pregnancy, complex gynaecological laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, fertility treatment and endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and robotic gynaecological surgery. She is widely regarded as one of the foremost experts in this field in the NCR region.

Dr. Lal's professional honours include Fellowship of the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FICOG), Fellowship of Indian Child and Maternal Health (FICMCH), Fellowship of the International College of Laparoscopic Surgeons (FCLS), Fellowship of Medicine and Science Academy (FIMSA), and the prestigious FOGSI C.S. Dawn Prize. She has been a recipient of numerous national and international academic paper presentation awards.
