Dr. Sanjeev Gulati

Dr. Sanjeev Gulati is Director — Nephrology at Fortis Escorts Kidney & Urology Institute, Okhla, New Delhi. He played a pivotal role in shaping the dialysis and transplant programme at SGPGI, Lucknow — among the largest in the country — and has emerged as one of India's most respected nephrologists across both adult and paediatric kidney care.

He has presented papers at multiple international and national conferences and published more than 150 scientific papers in indexed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Kidney International, and the American Journal of Kidney Diseases. He has also authored 30 chapters in textbooks — including the prestigious Oxford Textbook of Nephrology and the Comprehensive Pediatric Nephrology — in addition to numerous guest lectures, and has written a book on Childhood Renal Diseases.

His work has received recognition from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the Indian Society of Nephrology, the Australian College of Pediatrics, the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the Japanese Society of Nephrology. Dr. Gulati serves as Secretary of the Indian Society of Nephrology (North Zone), Vice President of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, and a Member of the Governing Body of the Indian Society of Nephrology. He is a reviewer for several prestigious journals and has written widely in newspapers and magazines to spread public awareness of kidney disease.
