Dr. Sami Ahmad

Dr. Sami Salem Ahmad is a Consultant General Surgeon with 37 years of clinical experience, specializing in laparoscopic gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. He holds an MD from Hamburg University, Germany, the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS, Edinburgh), and German Facharzt certification in General Surgery. His career has spanned Germany, the United Kingdom, Jordan, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha.

Dr. Ahmad has performed over 7,000 upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures throughout his career. His expertise encompasses advanced laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, with more than 2,500 laparoscopic fundoplications for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). He has also completed thousands of bariatric surgical cases, including sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass procedures.

Recognized internationally for his work in anti-reflux surgery and complex revisional bariatric procedures, Dr. Ahmad maintains an active role in surgical education, serving as an examiner and lecturer while regularly presenting findings at international surgical conferences.
