Dr. Nada Omer Mohamed Elbashir

Dr. Nada Omer Mohamed Elbashir is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi with 20 years of clinical experience. She holds an MBBS from Gezira University, Sudan (2002) and an MD in Psychiatry (2013), and is a member of both the American Psychiatric Association and the Sudanese Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Elbashir began her medical career as a practitioner at Taha Baasher Psychiatric Hospital in Khartoum in 2003, where she completed her psychiatry residency through the Sudan Medical Specialization programme. She subsequently relocated to the UAE and has worked across well-established hospitals for nine years, during which time she has participated in numerous workshops and conferences on psychiatric disorders and treatment approaches.

Her clinical interests span general adult psychiatry, child psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy. She brings extensive experience in women's mental health, schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, PTSD and phobias, and dementia. Dr. Elbashir also possesses specialist experience in the psychiatric assessment of candidates for bariatric surgery.
