Dr. Marelize Bosman

Dr. Marelize Bosman is a Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist with more than 15 years of clinical practice. She holds an MBChB from the University of Pretoria, a Fellowship in Paediatrics from the College of Paediatricians (FCPaed), and a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology from South Africa (Cert Cardio (SA) Paed). Her expertise spans the diagnosis, management, and long-term care of neonates and children with congenital and acquired heart disease across acute and chronic phases from birth through adolescence.

Dr. Bosman brings proficiency in echocardiography, electrocardiography, in-hospital and outpatient assessment, interventional cardiology, and pediatric palliative care. She has extensive experience in pre- and post-operative care, family counseling, screening clinics, and interdisciplinary care coordination for children with cardiac conditions.

Before joining Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, she held positions as a Pediatric Cardiologist at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in South Africa and in the private sector in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal. She previously served as an honorary lecturer in pediatrics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and coordinated training programs for pediatric fellows, with ongoing involvement in medical education and palliative care.
