Dr. Kanchan Kaur

Dr. Kanchan Kaur is a senior breast cancer and general surgeon who serves as Senior Director — Breast Cancer at the Cancer Care division of Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon. With more than two decades of surgical experience, she has built a multidisciplinary breast practice that combines oncologic clarity with deep patient empathy.

Dr. Kanchan is widely respected for her work in breast cancer awareness and early detection. She works closely with several non-profits and was instrumental in bringing the global "Discovering Hands" programme to India — training visually impaired women to perform clinical breast examinations using their highly developed sense of touch.

She is a tutor on the Government of India's online learning platform Swayam and contributed to the breast cancer awareness section of the MShakti app launched by the Indian Cancer Society. Dr. Kanchan also runs Pink Prana, a breast cancer support group offering counselling and guidance to patients and their carers throughout the diagnosis and treatment journey. She is a regular faculty at national and international breast cancer conferences and has multiple academic publications to her credit.
