Dr. Ankur Nanda — Associate Director of Spine Services in Delhi NCR

Dr. Ankur Nanda is Associate Director of Spine Services at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre in Delhi NCR, with more than 23 years of experience in spine surgery.

His list covers the whole column and both ends of the operating range. He performs spinal fusion surgery and spinal deformity correction, endoscopic spine surgery, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery, spinal tumor surgery and spinal trauma surgery, discectomy, laminectomy, spinal stenosis surgery, and vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty.

He read MBBS at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad and took his MS in orthopaedics at NHL Municipal Medical College in the same city, where he ranked first and received an academic excellence scholarship. He also holds an MBA in healthcare from Sikkim Manipal University. His two spine fellowships were taken abroad, in endoscopic spine surgery in Germany and in spine surgery at Seoul, South Korea, and he holds AO Spine basic, advanced and faculty education program certificates.

His published research covers pelvic obliquity in neuromuscular scoliosis in SPINE in 2010 and transpedicular percutaneous biopsy of vertebral body lesions in Spinal Cord in 2008. He won the gold medal best paper award in 2010 at the combined 49th International Spinal Cord Society, 10th Spinal Cord Society and 8th ASCoN annual scientific meeting in New Delhi.

A large part of his record is society office. He is ASSI Program Committee Chair and a past member of its executive committee, AO Spine fellowship officer and council member for the Indian subcontinent, an executive committee member of the Delhi Spine Society and a member of the Spinal Cord Society.
