Dr. Amit Goel

Dr. Amit Goel is a senior urologist, kidney transplant surgeon and robotic uro-oncologist with over two decades of clinical experience. He currently serves as Senior Director & Unit Head — Urology, Kidney Transplant, Uro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Max Hospital, Gurugram.

Before joining Max, Dr. Goel served as Senior Consultant and Head of Department for Kidney Transplant, Uro-Oncology and Urology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, and previously as Senior Consultant in Urology and Kidney Transplantation at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Gurgaon. He also served as Senior Consultant & Head of the Department of Urology & Kidney Transplants at Apollo Hospital, Dhaka, and as Consultant in Genito-Urinary Oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, Delhi.

He holds an M.Ch in Urology from West Bengal University of Health Sciences and completed advanced training in robotic surgery and uro-oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, with an observership at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA. Dr. Goel was awarded the European Resident Education Travelling Fellowship by the Urological Society of India in 2011, and received a prize for paper presentation at an International Cancer Congress in 2014.
