What is Coarctation Repair?
Coarctation repair relieves congenital narrowing of the aorta to restore systemic blood flow and reduce the pressure burden above the obstruction. Surgery removes or enlarges the narrowed segment, usually through the chest, while selected recurrent or older-child cases may use catheter balloon or stent treatment.
