Dr. Mohamed Babiker

Dr. Mohamed Babiker is a Clinical Oncology Registrar and Medical Doctor with 3 years of experience in cancer care, palliative medicine, and multidisciplinary oncology management. He brings extensive clinical expertise developed across leading oncology centres in Sudan, where he held senior roles in establishing oncology infrastructure and acute care units.

During his tenure as Senior Oncology Registrar at Merowe Oncology Center, Dr. Babiker oversaw the establishment of a new oncology ward and acute oncology care unit. He spearheaded critical service improvements including restructuring of medical records systems, enhancement of chemotherapy safety protocols, and implementation of palliative care frameworks. His work in nursing education and protocol development strengthened oncology service standards and patient safety across the institution.

At the Radiation and Isotope Center Khartoum (RICK), Dr. Babiker managed diverse oncology cases with particular expertise in oncologic emergencies, including spinal cord compression, superior vena cava obstruction, and febrile neutropenia. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cancer Biology and Precision Oncology at the University of Edinburgh, with focus on tumour biology, bioinformatics, and precision-based therapeutic approaches. Dr. Babiker is fluent in Arabic and English.
