About Dr. Kyu Hwan Jung
Dr. Kyu Hwan Jung is a South Korean board-certified consultant in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery with 21 years of clinical experience. He completed his MD at Seoul National University and obtained his specialist certification through a comprehensive training programme at Seoul Samsung Medical Center, which included a four-year residency and a two-year fellowship in otology and neurotology.
Beyond his clinical training, Dr. Jung has developed particular expertise in hearing science and cochlear implant technology through advanced research positions. He conducted hearing research at the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the University of Washington, focusing on cochlear implant signal processing and psychoacoustic studies. He subsequently spent a year as a research scholar at the University of Iowa Speech and Hearing Center, specialising in hearing-aid signal processing research.
Dr. Jung performs the full spectrum of otolaryngological procedures, with particular proficiency in complex ear surgery, nasal reconstruction, head and neck masses, and paediatric ENT conditions. He is fluent in English and Korean.
