He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Cardiological Society of India, bringing expertise in comprehensive general adult cardiology and interventional cardiac procedures.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kunnumpuram has established a track record of advancing cardiac care across multiple healthcare systems. While based in Bengaluru, India, he implemented innovative standards in cardiac procedures and surgical protocols at a leading tertiary institution. He subsequently relocated to Qatar, where he led the establishment of the region's first private-sector cardiac catheterization laboratory and spearheaded a specialty cardiac surgical program at Al Ahli Hospital.
