Dr. Aseem R Srivastava

Dr. Aseem R Srivastava is a senior specialist and the Head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram. He completed his advanced training in pediatric and neonatal cardiac surgery from two of the world's most prestigious institutions — The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (UPMC). He further honed his skills in Minimal Access Cardiac Surgery and Robotic Cardiac Surgery at East Carolina Heart Institute, USA.

Dr. Srivastava has extensive experience in reconstructive operations for newborns and infants and is a strong proponent of early corrective repair wherever possible. He specialises in minimally invasive valve and mitral valve surgery, with a primary clinical focus on Adult Congenital Heart Surgery, Minimal Access Cardiac Surgery, and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.

He is one of the very few surgeons in India to hold advanced fellowship training from two premier US paediatric cardiac surgery programmes. In July 2025, Dr. Srivastava created medical history by successfully performing open-heart surgery on a 1.5 kg preterm infant — one of the smallest and most demanding cases of its kind in India. He is also a gold medal winner for academic excellence in surgery, having received the Babu Kashi Ram Dhawan Gold Medal from King George Medical University, Lucknow.
