What is Pediatric Fracture Surgery?
Pediatric fracture surgery is an operation to reduce and hold a child's broken bone when closed reduction, plaster or observation is no longer enough. The surgeon restores alignment, protects the growth plate where possible, and holds the reduction with plaster, wires or other fixation chosen for the child's age.
