What is Nerve and Muscle Biopsy?
Nerve and Muscle Biopsy removes an explicitly selected nerve, muscle or both so specialized pathology can assess neuropathy, myopathy, vasculitis, inflammation or storage disease. Through a small incision, the surgeon removes the planned fascicle or muscle specimen without crushing it; tissue is divided and transported correctly for histology, enzyme, immunologic or electron-microscopy studies.
